Steps towards transparency of property and income declarations of high-ranking officials
In order to ensure the transparency of the income and property declarations of officials, and to reduce corruption risks, as a result of the implementation of the commitment included in the second program of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, a change was made in the 2011 Decree of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. in the decision N 1835 of December 15, and the thresholds set for property transactions were removed. For example, the thresholds of 50 million AMD for real estate, 7 million AMD for movable property, 5 million AMD for investment transactions and 3 million AMD for loans were abolished. Despite this, both NGOs and the press question the reliability and credibility of the information included in the declarations.
